After what what was indeed a headache (recovering the info to even access my blog), I've finally done so! The ONLY reason I am here is because I ran across the picture of a former sister locker who appeared along with me on my stylist's website. She cut them out and went natural, albeit straight, but  natural. I saw her and was instantly hit with the find-your-blog stick, so here I am. Not taking as many pics anymore, but this one was taken 12 Oct at the Falcons' game. You can kind of see length and progress. They are quite long now, especially the back. I will try my best to post a pic of the back in the immediate future. For those of you who still stop by, thanks so much and for newcomers who are considering sister locks, I too went to EVERY available blog, site, picture gallery I could find during my consideration period. So I will try to assist you in your picture perusing !

I Have A Blog? For Real? Like Seriously?


Man, it's been well over a YEAR since I've updated by blog! I for real forgot that I had a blog, I mean with the love affair with facebook that I have, who could blame me?! Well, in a nutshell, not a whole lot's been going on- just working, raising my fellas and having fun in between. It's been over six years and the love I have for these itsy-bitsy locks hasn't waned a bit.

HAPPY 5TH LOCVERSARY TO ME!!!

Wow!!! Almost 4 months since I've posted and 5 years being locked!!! And the truth is, I honestly forgot that I was coming up on my 5th year! So much has been going on, both personally and professionally, that my young 'do was the furthest thing from my mind! I wasn't reminded until one of our "darlings" (a 10th grader who i made go into my office and pull his jeans up much like those of Jethro Bodine's 'cause I could CLEARLY see that he was wearing Hanes tighty whities) asked me could he "touch one of my dreads." He asked how long "my hair been like that" and I said with shock and amazement FIVE YEARS TODAY!!! So check out a few compare and contrast pics and be easy my fellow blogmates!

It's 2010 My Fellow Blogging Friends!

5 weeks after my last post and 24 days into the new year brings the first entry to my blog for 2010. I've been finding it difficult to post more than one entry per month (which is what I'd prefer to do) but it seems like that's how it's going to be AT LEAST til the summer. I'm also finding it hard to just take hair shots anymore because I honestly don't see a lot of difference which lessens my desire to take a lot of pics. I know it's growing (almost EVERY sisterlocker's ultimate goal) but it looks the same to me.
The following pics were taken Christmas morning and the night after Christmas. The beautiful peeps in my pics are high school classmates and my partners in high-school-reunion-activities-planning crime.

SO WHAT'S REALLY HAP'NIN?


WOW!!! It has been sooooo long, can I be honest? I forgot about my blog! Let me stop lying, I forgot that I even HAD a blog! It's been that hectic. I kinda knew that it was going to be difficult keeping up with it once school started back, but golly gee willokers! I didn't know it was going to come to this!


Work has been extremely busy, thus preventing me from updating my blog like I'd like, but it's ok, 'cause it means that I have a job but I sure do miss blogging and blog-surfing too.


As for my locs, they are coming along just fine. I don't take as many photos of just my hair anymore but I do monitor and recognize its changes - for example, I've decided to not color my hair anymore (Sept. is hair coloring month) AND I've...noticed...GREY SWEET JESUS!!! Now, I'm not opposed to grey 'cause I've seen some beautiful salt/pepper locs but those little lint-look-alikes just threw me for a loop.
